Torah on Tuesday December 8, 11 am Join our thoughtful and inquisitive group to discuss the weekly parasha on Tuesday mornings. In 5781, we will make use of The Heart of Torah, Rabbi Shai Held's Essays on the Weekly Torah portion. For those who like to have a book in hand, you may wish to purchase either one or both volumes. This week we will look at Vayeshev #2, Election and Service: 83 , 84-85 , 86-87

Light Against the Darkness Hanukkah Program
The Adult Education Committee is proud to present a special Hanukkah event with Rabbi Francine Roston: Light Against the Darkness Sunday, December 13, 5 - 6 PM (EST) Rabbi Roston will share how Hanukkah's message of spiritual resistance inspired her Montana community when it was harassed and cyber-terrorized by Neo-Nazis and how Hanukkah can guide us all in the face of antisemitism and hatred. Habonim Reads Sunday, January 10, 5:15-6:15 pm Join this special event where community members of almost all ages can read or listen to the same book and discuss it in a Zoom gathering. We're reading Brooklyn Bridge by Karen Hesse. It's a fictional story based on the real-life inventors of the Teddy Bear, the Michtom Family, who arrived in Brooklyn from Russia in the late 1880s.
