We have a variety of programs for youth and families all year long, for little ones like toddlers and kindergartners, through high school all the way to 12th grade. You can also find a variety of opportunities within the broader community for volunteering, trips, and more

  • Friday Afternoon Once a Month

    • Tot Shabbat (ages 0-5, with parents/caregivers) - a 30-minute musical Shabbat experience led by the Habonim Team and followed by a light supper and social time for the children and families. 

  • Shabbat morning programming for children and families:

    • ​​Torah Tots - Select Saturdays at 10:45am For children ages 5 and under, we offer Torah Tots, a child-appropriate Shabbat morning experience with music, stories, and interactive play followed by Kiddush lunch with the Congregation. 

    • Shabbat Club - Select Saturdays at 10:30am For children ages 5-10 with or without adults. Activity-based Shabbat experience including music, prayer, and Torah followed by Kiddush lunch with the Congregation. 

We also hold other Shabbat-related events throughout the year, for the Religious School community, and for the entire congregation and general public, such as Havdalah celebrations, Friday evening dinners, and more.

Simon Wiesenthal Center Internships

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is a global Jewish human rights activist organization that confronts anti-Semitism, hate, defends the safety of Israel and Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust for future generations through its advocacy and education programs, investigations, research, reporting, media, films, and museums.

Wiesenthal Government Advocacy Internship

Applications are now open for the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s 2024 Summer Government Advocacy Internship. Students selected for this highly competitive program will be introduced to the mechanics of the state and municipal government, politics, grassroots activism and advocacy. The program is based in New York City and open to all college and graduate-level students.

Wiesenthal International Advocacy Internship

Applications are now open for the Wiesenthal Center’s Summer 2024 International Advocacy Internship. Modeled after its highly successful sister program, the Wiesenthal Government Advocacy Internship, this program will introduce selected participants to the mechanics of international policy making and development of next generation communal leaders who can have a true impact on that stage. The program will be based in New York City and open to all college and graduate level students.

GENuine Connections™ at DOROT

GENuine Connections at DOROT is a free, online community devoted to making genuine connections between older adults and high school students.  Teens and older adults meet weekly over Zoom in small groups to talk and participate in activities ranging from creative writing, chess, art, current events and so much more, leading to the discovery of new and shared perspectives. And teens get community service credits for participating! Check out their flyer here
