Become a member of Congregation Habonim Today!

Habonim is a peaceful enclave within our frequently chaotic city. Belonging to Habonim makes city life more like a small town, because you aren't alone out there!

Benefits of membership include:

  • Our wonderful clergy.  Rabbi Gelber & Cantorial Soloist Jessica Futran will officiate your lifecycle events – bris, baby naming, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding, funeral, etc. – and provide advice, counsel, and education on all things Jewish.
  • Jewish education for your children.  Members may enroll in Habonim's Nursery School and afterschool Religious School. Your children will read Hebrew,  be exposed to Jewish values, traditions, and rituals, and learn about Torah, holidays,  services, Israel, and how to "repair the world."
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah.  Preparation through one-on-one tutoring customized for your child.
  • A warm, welcoming Jewish community.
    • A place for you and your children to make friends and gather for
dinners, lunches, services, holidays, kids' events, cocktail parties, or annual gala
      and Purim carnival, and more!
    • An inspiring community to celebrate the High Holidays, festivals, and Shabbat, including children’s services
    • Support in times of illness, loss, and sitting shiva
  • Food!  Beautiful kiddush lunch every Saturday for kids and adults (on pause during Covid).
  • Enrichment of your Jewish life.
    • Explore your own Judaism in any way you see fit, in a warm, nurturing, non-judgmental environment
    • Participate in Shabbat services, no matter what level of experience or observance -- all are welcome at our egalitarian Conservative services
  • High Holidays.   All members receive free tickets for themselves and their household for our beautiful Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services, and can purchase additional tickets for friends and family.
  • Doing some good!   Opportunities to improve your community, build an organization, volunteer your time productively, and support a Jewish institution in your neighborhood.
