Please join us on Sunday, December 5 for a day of chesed and giving back to the community. We have partnered with the organization One Block to pick up trash in our neighborhood. We will gather outside Habonim at 10:30 am to clean up the surrounding blocks. All ages welcome! Gloves, bags, and garbage grabbers will be provided. Sign up here
Please note - this event is weather-dependent. If there is inclement weather we will alert you that morning and reschedule.
Our clean-up will be kicked off at 10 am with a Hanukkah Musical Celebration (for all ages). 66th Street Plaza along Riverside Boulevard (weather permitting). Come celebrate Hanukkah together with a musical concert by Jessica Futran and Rob Silverbush. Enjoy festive treats and warm drinks. All are welcome to attend!

All attendees of both services must remain properly masked at all times and all those who are 12 and over must show proof of vaccination. We also remind those who plan to attend in person to be feeling well and symptom-free to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Advance registration is no longer required for in person Shabbat morning services. Proof of vaccination and wearing masks are required. When we are celebrating B'nai Mitzvah, the in person Saturday morning service will be held at Redeemer Presbyterian, 150 West 83rd Street. Saturday morning services are also available on Zoom.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Students
Members of the upcoming Bar/Bat Mitzvah class gathered together last Saturday afternoon to find their parasha/shabbat torah reading in the sefer torah/torah scroll. For some, it was the first time they had entered the sanctuary in 20 months. What a joy to be together and join with community members by Zoom to welcome the new week with Havdalah.

2021 Turkey Challenge
The annual West Side Campaign Against Hunger drive to provide 7,000 turkeys and Thanksgiving meals to hungry New Yorkers is underway. Click here for more information and to donate. Congregation Habonim is a member of the Turkey Challenge Community Coalition.
Summer Program in Israel
Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students: TRY (Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim) is offering a six-week summer program in Israel, including four weeks in Jerusalem and the opportunity to earn 3 college credits. Click here for more information.

High Holiday Appeal 5782/2021
Stronger Together The High Holiday Appeal is our annual fundraising campaign and Habonim’s main source of operating support beyond membership dues and tuition. Our fundraising goal, to exceed $120,000, will enable Habonim to continue to be a warm and welcoming full-service Conservative synagogue.
