UWS Community Sounding of the Shofar Sunday, September 20 at 4 pm The shofar will be sounded at numerous Upper West Side locations on Broadway, between 64th and 116th Streets, on the second day of Rosh Hashanah. Join with members of the Habonim community at 64th Street (with Rabbi Gelber) or 68th Street (with David Feuerstein), or with neighbors at the other locations.
There will be a group meeting at the toddler playground behind 180 West End Avenue and PS 199 (Lincoln Towers); we'll walk to Broadway at 3:45 p.m. If you arrange a meeting place, you can send the information to sisterhood@habonim.net by 6 tonight and it will be added to the list. #shofaroteverywhere Please be sure to wear a mask and practice safe social distancing!

For Day 1, children are invited to bring: - a paper bag, an apple, some sort of honey, a round challah, a challah roll, or a picture of a round challah, and a shofar or a picture of a shofar - a puppet, stuffie or action figure - a shaker
