Four Nights and a Wall: The Birth of German-Jewish Philosophy out of the Current Theology
May 3rd, 10th, 24th and 31st at various times at the Goethe-Institut New York Artist and filmmaker Udi Aloni and New School Professor Omri Boehm are hosting this series of talks on German-Jewish philosophy at the Goethe Institute. Sunday, June 4 at noon - Habonim will march with the Upper West Side contingent in the annual Celebrate Israel Parade! The parade proceeds along 5th Avenue from 57th Street to 74th. No registration required -learn more here or view a flyer here.
Race to Deliver Returns!
November 19, 2023 at 8:00am - Click HERE to register for Race to Deliver, a 4 mile run to benefit God’s Love We Deliver, a community organization that cooks and home-delivers nutritious meals for people unable to cook for themselves. Please notify the membership committee HERE if you plan on participating, so everyone can meet as a community prior to the race!

Now Accepting Celebrate Israel Parade Teen Leadership Applications
Celebrate Israel Parade: Sunday, June 4th at 9:00am - noon New York’s Jewish teenagers ages 16–19 are invited to apply for an exclusive opportunity to accompany VIPs at this year’s Celebrate Israel Parade! The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York has designated Stephen Wise Free Synagogue as the coordinating partner to recruit these teen leaders. Those who are selected will have the opportunity to connect with over 150 New York and U.S. elected and appointed officials, elected and appointed officials of other countries, and community leaders, and meet teens from across New York at a pre-parade breakfast. Repair the World Summer Teen Service Corps! Applications open!
Session 1: June 29 - July 20 | Session 2: July 25- Aug 10 (Tuesdays-Thursdays) Do you know a teen looking for a meaningful summer in the city? Invite them to apply for Repair the World's Summer Teen Service Corps! Over 3 or 6 weeks, teens will volunteer hands-on in food or education justice, learn about changemaking in NYC and make new friends! Teens qualify for 45 hours of community service per session. Open to teens of all backgrounds.
