This Saturday, January 21st, join us as we celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of Zahara Gelber, daughter of our very own Rabbi Gelber, at Habonim at Redeemer, 150 W. 83rd St, between Amsterdam/Columbus. You may also join us on Zoom. Services will be followed by Kiddush lunch sponsored by Rabbi Gelber. Mazal Tov!

Mishloach Manot & Hamantaschen Baking
The Sisterhood of Congregation Habonim is pleased to launch its annual Mishloach Manot Purim Fundraiser and Hamantaschen Baking! When you participate, you fulfill the Purim mitzvah of sending gifts, support Sisterhood and Habonim, and support our children: 10% of all funds raised will be donated to an organization chosen by our Religious School students.
Hamantaschen Baking is on Sunday mornings starting January 29! Have an hour or two of free time? Come to Habonim to help bake hamantaschen and pack Mishloach Manot! All ages welcome. No experience necessary!

Support the Manhattan Eruv
An eruv creates a representative boundary that enables those who follow traditional laws of Shabbat to carry from a personal enclosed area into the public domain. At 18 miles long, the Manhattan Eruv is one of the longest eruvim in the world!! The Jewish community funds the eruv in Manhattan. Join Rabbi Gelber in showing support for this important Jewish practice and donate to the current crowd-sourcing eventHERE.
Songs From the Holocaust at Carnegie Hall
Thursday, January 26th, 7:30pm The We Are Here concert will showcase various songs from ghettos and concentration camps during the Holocaust, featuring music and readings by over 30 stars and cantors. The concert will take place at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium at 881 7th Avenue. Learn more about the musical showcase HERE.
Seeking Volunteers for Midnight Run
Midnight Run coordinates over 1,000 relief missions per year, in which volunteers distribute food, clothing, and other items to the homeless on the streets of NYC. These efforts create a forum for trust, sharing, understanding and affection.
Habonim is looking to do morning runs, but we need experienced leaders in order to do that! We are asking for volunteers to sign up to do runs with another organization and be trained to lead ours! Write to our officeHERE if you are interested, and learn more about Midnight Run HERE.

Kumi: An Anti-Oppression Teen Leadership Experience is a unique opportunity for Jewish teens (11th and 12th graders). Participants of the program will be equipped to interrupt racism, antisemitism, and other manifestations of oppression, and will contribute to the building of more inclusive communities and movements for justice as Jews.
