Shemini Atzeret & Simchat Torah
Celebrate the last days of Sukkot with Habonim, from Friday night services to Monday morning Shemini Atzeret, and then Simchat Torah! We will be singing, dancing, and reading Torah Monday night and Tuesday. Click HERE for the full schedule for all ages of our Congregation, and to register for Zoom services.
Proof of vaccination is required for those 5 and up for in-person indoor events. Masks are voluntary. Service start times are in this email and on our website, please disregard what is in the Zoom confirmation.

Services for Our Children and Families
Torah Tots, Saturday, October 15th, 10:00-10:30am For children age 5 & under with their parents or caregivers. Kiddush snack will be served after our service.
Junior Congregation, Saturday, October 15th, 10:45-11:45am For children in 1st-5th grades (parents are welcome to stay).
Torah Tots, Tuesday, October 18th, 10:00-10:30am For children 5 and under with their parent or caregiver.
Simchat Torah Celebration for our Youngest Members
Monday, October 17th, 4:45-5:10pm All children 6 and under with their parents and caregivers are encouraged to join us for great singing, a little dancing and a special Torah blessing. Families with younger children are also most welcome to join us at our 6:00pm congregational Simchat Torah service.
Simchat Torah Programs for Religious School
Monday, October 17th, 5:20pm Religious School has an adjusted scheduled on Monday so kids in grades 3-7, along with their siblings, can attend the 5:20pm program. We welcome all families with children in grades 3-7 to attend the programs (one for kids with a simultaneous Simcha hour for parents) before the 6:00pm congregational Simchat Torah service.
There are no classes on Tuesday, October 18th, due to Simchat Torah.
Learning Opportunities for High Schoolers
The second annual The Heschel Fellowship is back, an online intensive learning fellowship for teenagers who want to expand their Jewish knowledge. See details HERE. Deadline is October 20th.
Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim is a Jerusalem-based high school academic program for those interested in learning all about their heritage in a Conservative Jewish setting. Click HEREfor more information!
Moving Traditions Presents “Helping Boys Thrive”

Carrot Cake Bake
Thursday, October 27th, 7pm Back by popular demand, Habonim's own youth chef Ellie Merdinger will be taking us through how to make a scrumptious carrot cake. Annual Symposium on Positive Aging at the JCC
Monday, October 31st, 10am-3pm Attend the 7th Annual Symposium on Positive Aging: Living Your Best Life! The event will feature New York Times Personal Health Columnist Jane Brody. After the talk, continue the day with a movement segment, lunch, and a special screening of excerpts from the documentary film Lives Well Lived, followed by a conversation with director Sky Bergman.
