Thanks for Rosh Hashanah Meals
The Bender Fund at Habonim has completed almost 50 years of providing funds to Selfhelp Community Services for holiday meals for Holocaust survivors. This Rosh Hashanah, 19 survivors, who were spending the holiday alone, received a beautiful kosher catered meal to make their holiday more meaningful. We thank the members of the Habonim Brotherhood of yore and their wives for securing the donations from Dr. Bender, and for ensuring that they were used to provide comfort and nourishment during many, many Jewish holidays!
