Hanukkah at Habonim
Members of the Habonim community celebrated Hanukkah together (photos can also be viewed here )
Vivien Friedman Newman writes: The Adult Education Committee proudly presented "Light Against the Darkness" on Sunday with Rabbi Francine Roston from Glacer Jewish Community/B'nai Shalom in Whitefish, Montana. She shared what she and her community
experienced when they were harassed and cyber-terrorized by Neo-Nazis across the country. She discussed how Hanukkah's message of spiritual resistance inspired her community and how it can guide us all in the face of antisemitism and hatred. Our Zoom audience stretched across the United States and across the ocean
to London. It was an important message for all to hear. Thank you to Rabbi Gelber for bringing the light all year to the Habonim community and to Cantor Halev for this terrific shot of our Community-wide candle lighting that was so inspiring. Chanukkah Sameach!
