High Holy Days 5783 / 2022

Habonim is delighted to offer a variety of welcoming, egalitarian Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur programming for our members and guests. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for attendees aged 5 and up at all indoor services.

TRADITIONAL HABONIM SERVICE (in person at Ethical Culture, 2 West 64th St, and livestream):
Rabbi Lisa Gelber and Cantorial Soloist Jessica Futran, Habonim's spiritual leadership team, will guide this traditional Conservative High Holy Day prayer service.

CLASSIC HABONIM SERVICE (Zoom only):
This service, led by Cantor Emeritus Bruce Halev and Rabbi Mark Somerstein, features the German Liberal liturgy (including choir and organ familiar to our early members and their descendants, from recordings made several years ago at Central Synagogue).

YOUTH SERVICE (in person at Ethical Culture, 2 West 64th St.):
Our children represent the future of our community. Especially for them, Youth Services will be held at Ethical Culture, including Torah Tots for children up to age 5 (with parents or caregivers), and Junior Congregation for children in 1st through 6th grade.

In addition, we will offer a Tashlich & Picnic for families with young children, as well as Community Tashlich for all ages, in Riverside Park.
