High Holiday 5782/2021 Schedule

CLASSIC HABONIM SERVICE:
This service, led by Cantor Emeritus Bruce Halev, includes the music the early members of our community brought with them from German, a choral service with organ, choir and compositions from the late 1800s. Six years ago, Cantor Halev recorded the High Holy Day service at Central Synagogue, the location of Habonim's first service in 1940. Like last year, Cantor Halev will daven the service on Zoom and include music of major prayers from this recording. Cantor Halev will be joined by Rabbi Mark Somerstein.

CONGREGATION HABONIM SERVICE:
Rabbi Lisa Gelber and Jessica Futran, spiritual leadership team at Habonim, will guide this traditional High Holy Day prayer service. This service, held at Ethical Culture, is open to fully vaccinated individuals. It will also be available by livestream (not Zoom).
