Builders Campaign for Habonim’s Reserve Fund
Naming Opportunities at Habonim’s New Home: 25 West 65th Street

Background

"Habonim" means "the builders." Congregation Habonim is dedicated to building a strong Jewish community. We are a vibrant, heimish, unpretentious, Conservative egalitarian synagogue on the Upper West Side, offering a haven of warmth and spiritual growth where all are welcome.

Habonim was founded in 1939 by German refugees who sought the solace of religious community as they built a new life and congregation in a new country. Today Habonim is building once again, and we look forward to moving into our beautiful new home at 25 West 65th Street, which will triple the size of our space.

Our new home

We will have a large, 300-seat sanctuary, a stunning social hall and kosher catering kitchen for b'nei mitzvah, weddings, and other events, a beautiful chapel for smaller services and events, and 7 classrooms designed for our Nursery School and Religious School, each with access to our private outdoor playspace.

Opportunity

We are not only building an incredible new home, but also strengthening Habonim financially to thrive and grow there. We are building a Reserve Fund to keep Habonim secure for decades to come (funds separate from annual revenue). Both efforts are critically important. We are offering congregants the opportunity to partner with us in this effort through a variety of naming opportunities. Donors can honor or memorialize a family, family member, or friend.

Email newbuilding@habonim.net with any questions about our new home!
